Which is the costliest area in London?

Among the Local Authorities that make up London, Kensington and Chelsea has the highest cost in House prices. Data released by the ONS states that the area had prices of  £19,400 per square metre. This is followed by the Borough of the 'City of London' at £17,300. City of Westminster comes third at £16,200 while at fourth is Camden at £12,700. At fifth place is Hammersmith and Fulham at £10,700. 

Least Costliest in London
The least-costliest borough in London was Barking & Dagenham at £3,994.

Price growth over the last 12 years
From 2004 till 2016, prices in London have nearly doubled, according to the ONS Report.

The floor space of a purchased property over this period in London averages 90.18 square metres.

Rest of England
At the last position in the table for England & Wales is Blaenau Gwent at £777 per square metre which is immediately topped by Burnley at £838 and Merthyr Tydfil at £917.

Northumberland County in the far north had an average cost of £1,412 per square metre. Cornwall in the south-west had an average cost of £2,097 per square metre. Dover in the south-east county of Kent had a similar cost at £2,310. In Leeds, the cost was £1,920 per square metre. Suffolk Coastal Local Government District saw a price of £2,509 while in mid-Suffolk, cost dropped to £2,299 per square metre.
